Marketing consulting for growing businesses

Big-company marketing discipline, without the big‑company overhead.

I help small and mid-sized businesses decide where to spend, what to say and how to prove it worked. It is the same playbook I ran for Fortune 100 brands, sized to your budget.

Audit delivered within 5 business days. No pitch deck, just what I found and what I would do first.

Mission

To use data and customer behavior to enable informed and highly effective marketing decisions.

Most marketing is decided by opinion and defended by anecdote. I start from what your customers actually do: what they search, click, open, ignore, buy and come back for. That evidence shapes the plan, the media and the creative, so every dollar goes to a decision you can explain and measure.

Services

Three practice areas, one measurement standard.

Digital, paid media and traditional marketing planned together, so each channel reinforces the others and reports against the same business goal. Start with one, or hand me the whole mix.

Practice 01

Digital marketing

The owned channels where customers find you, evaluate you and come back.

  • Website enhancements: speed, SEO, messaging and conversion paths
  • Content creation and editorial calendars
  • Email, SMS and lifecycle automation
  • Analytics, GA4 and Tableau dashboards
Digital marketing details

Practice 02

Paid media

Media planning, buying and testing that turns budget into measurable leads and sales.

  • Paid search on Google and Microsoft
  • Paid social on Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
  • Expanded reach: new audiences, retargeting, creator and partner placements
  • Attribution, lift testing and creative testing
Paid media details

Practice 03

Traditional marketing

The offline channels that still build trust, planned with the same rigor as digital.

  • Print, direct mail and sales collateral
  • Signage, out-of-home and point-of-sale
  • Trade shows, events and local sponsorships
  • Brand identity, creative direction and PR

Ways to work together

Three ways in, each with a clear scope.

  • Free · 5 business days

    Social media audit

A written review of your Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn presence: what is working, what is costing you and the first three things I would change. Yours to keep, no obligation.

  • Defined project

    90-day sprint

A launch, a website overhaul, a paid media test or a full campaign with a fixed scope, a start date, an end date and one number we agree it is accountable for.

    Scope a sprint
  • Ongoing · part-time

    Fractional marketing lead

Strategy and hands-on execution on a set number of days per month, typically six months or longer. You get a senior marketer without a senior salary.

    Talk about a retainer

Social media

Is your Facebook or Instagram page doing as much as it could for your business?

Most business pages post when someone remembers to, boost whatever is handy and never find out what any of it returned. I run social like a channel: organic and paid together, informed by what your customers respond to, and reported against the goal you care about.

How I work · Data-driven creativity

Data decides where to aim. Creativity decides whether anyone cares.

Data on its own produces safe, forgettable marketing. Creativity on its own produces expensive guesses. I put the two in one loop: behavior tells us who to reach, when and with what problem; creative work earns the attention; measurement tells us what to do next.

The outcome is work that is both distinctive and defensible. You can explain why a campaign looks the way it does, and you can show what it returned.

  1. Listen

    Start with behavior

Search demand, site paths, CRM history, social conversation and media performance, read together before any brief is written.

  2. Hypothesize

    Write the bet down

Every campaign gets a clear hypothesis: this audience, this message, this channel, this expected change in a number we agree on.

  3. Create

    Make it worth noticing

Concepts, copy, design and production built to the hypothesis, with enough variation to learn from.

  4. Test

    Let customers vote

Structured A/B and lift tests across paid, email, social and print, so winners are proven rather than argued.

  5. Scale

    Fund what works

Budget moves toward proven creative and channels, and the dashboard you keep shows exactly why.

About

Fortune 100 experience, working directly for you.

I'm Connor Fassnacht. I've spent more than nine years in marketing at companies ranging from a Fortune 100 materials manufacturer, a major telecom and a regional health insurer to local construction firms, seasonal beach shops and nonprofits. At the largest, I owned a $5M integrated program and led an in-house team, regional specialists and outside agencies.

What separates the big programs from the rest usually isn't budget. It's discipline. They know what their customers actually do, they write down what each campaign is supposed to change, and they measure it. Most growing businesses never get that rigor, because it usually comes bundled with an agency retainer or a full marketing department.

I started Fassnacht Marketing Solutions to close that gap. When you hire me, you get me: the senior person on strategy and the hands on execution. When a project needs design, development or production beyond what I do myself, I bring in specialists I have worked with before and stay accountable for the result.

Industries I have worked in

  • Telecommunications
  • Interior and high design
  • Manufacturing
  • Health insurance
  • Big Tech
  • Biotech and life sciences
  • Local construction
  • Seasonal beach retail
  • Nonprofits and NGOs
